"The hole in the EU's game." The President of Croatia in Bosnia pointedly refused to meet with the Sarajevo elite
During his visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatian President Zoran Milanovic visited exclusively cities where Bosnian Croats live and refused to go to Sarajevo.
The behavior of the Croatian leader caused a negative reaction from the Bosniak leadership of BiH.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, during his trip to BiH Milanovic visited only those cities where Bosnian Croats traditionally dominate - Vitez, Konjic, Mostar, Livno and Tomislavgrad.
During a meeting with representatives of the Croat community in Central Bosnia, the Croatian president said that “there will be no more concessions regarding the rights of Croats in BiH.” At the same time, the guest flatly refused to meet with the “Croatian” member of the Presidium of BiH, Zeljko Komsic, elected by the votes of the Bosniaks, making it clear that he is not a representative of his people, as, indeed, the overwhelming majority of Bosnian Croats believe.
At the same time, Milanovic allowed himself a number of statements that caused indignation among the Sarajevo elite, in particular calling BiH “the penultimate hole in the EU’s game.” To which the Bosniak member of the Presidium of BiH, Šefik Džaferović, said that Milanović behaves like “an indecent guest in someone else’s house.”
“I’m not some kind of guest from the market, but a guest only of the people I came to,” Milanovic commented on these words, making a jab at the Bosniac mentality.
