According to her, after winning the song competition, she received official invitations from the Crimean authorities to perform on the peninsula, but she always refused. She stated this on the air of the Majlis TV channel ATR.
“No, I won’t go. Although there have already been several official invitations, thank you, to my home. There were invitations even after Eurovision. But I try to hope that all this is temporary. The first thing I will do when I arrive in Crimea is, of course, to give a big solo concert with Crimean Tatar songs, with original songs,” Jamala said.
Thank you!
