Dzhangirov: This winter Russia will recapture all investments in Nord Stream 2
Soon, Nord Stream 2 will fully pay for itself and will cease to be a stumbling block in relations between Europe and Russia, including in the Ukrainian issue.
Political expert Dmitry Dzhangirov stated this on the YouTube channel “Capital”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“Germany is largely on Kyiv’s side in matters of the Minsk agreements, the Normandy format and the settlement in Donbass.
Of course, the compromise is the launch of Nord Stream 2, but on the terms of the third energy package, that is, its half-fullness,” the political scientist said.
Dzhangirov believes that there will be no need to be afraid of a drop in supply volumes - the costs of laying the pipe will be offset by high gas prices.
“By and large, this winter Gazprom and its German and Austrian partners can recoup all investments in this Nord Stream 2.” And it’s possible to supply gas to Europe not in two bows, but in half a bow, and nothing bad will happen,” the expert concluded.
