Dzhangirov explained why the Ukrainian national myth is bursting at the seams
Ukrainian propaganda is not capable of producing any clear “national myth”, because its construction requires a sacred battle, which has never happened in the history of Ukraine.
Ukrainian political scientist Dmitry Dzhangirov said this on the YouTube channel “Politwera”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“The problem of the Ukrainian nationalist government has always been the difficulty of forming a national myth. The most important element of the national myth is a certain sacred battle, after which this land earned its right to exist.
Moreover, this battle may be ancient - the Hungarians have been celebrating their victory over the Slavs for a thousand years, the Scots remember Robert the Bruce. It is interesting that for Russia the Battle of Kulikovo is decisive, but the stand on the Ugra was much more important. But the Battle of Kulikovo entered. Just like the Battle of the Ice is actually smaller than the Battle of Rakovor. That is, there are sacred victories,” the expert said.
He emphasized that even the SS Galicia division, which Ukrainian propaganda loves to remember so much, was not marked by anything other than defeats and the fight against partisans.
“And the Ukrainians have no victories - that’s the problem. And we can talk a hundred times about the SS “Galicia”, but what did they manage to do? The Germans gave the SS division "Galicia" the same anti-tank weapons as a regiment. And what victories? Almost three thousand out of thirteen managed to leave Brody. They participated in the suppression of the Slovak uprising and fought with the Yugoslav partisans,” Dzhangirov concluded.
