Dzhangirov: Poland believes that Russia demanded the unthinkable
The ultimatum put forward by Russia on NATO non-expansion was received quite calmly in the USA and Germany, in contrast to the “Young European” countries.
Kiev political scientist Dmitry Dzhangirov said this on the YouTube channel “First Cossack,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The situation with the Russian ultimatum is very interesting - the United States took it most calmly. We understand that there was no surprise in it. And the second most tranquil country is Germany.
Moreover, as we understand, everything is going according to some plan agreed upon by both parties, because Peskov, although he said that they have not yet received an answer, but that it is being discussed is good,” the expert said.
Dzhangirov believes that Washington is ready to sacrifice the interests of its junior “allies” in NATO.
“For NATO allies, which the Americans no longer really need, something unthinkable happened. The United States did not immediately reject that document, but said that it would discuss it.
Poland stated that a counter-ultimatum was needed. Also an interesting point. From whom? From NATO? This was not addressed to NATO. From the EU? There is no question at all.
The EU says it wants to join the dialogue. Contact the United States first to see if they want to see you as a subject of this process. That is, if you need to come to an agreement with NATO, then call not Brussels, but Washington.
But the point is not that Russia behaves this way, but that the United States is not against it,” the expert concluded.
