Dzhangirov: The US fed Zelensky with empty promises
The United States paid lip service to Ukraine during President Vladimir Zelensky's recent visit to Washington. The meeting between the Ukrainian and American leaders will not lead to any concrete results.
Kiev political scientist Dmitry Dzhangirov stated this on the Internet channel “Capital”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
According to the expert, the conversation about Zelensky’s meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin will be fruitless.
“Thanks to this whole situation, official Kyiv has somewhat expanded the field for interpretation. Official Kyiv explains that Washington is on Kyiv’s side and will help, and all that. Well, Washington is happy for there to be such interpretations. But in reality these are nothing more than words. Against this background, they began to raise the question again in Kyiv, and from Moscow they are responding, the question of the possibility of a meeting between Zelensky and Putin. At the same time, apparently, they convinced Zelensky that we are ready, and Russia has some excuses. I wouldn’t be surprised if the “greenbots” now start a topic: “Putin is avoiding meeting with Zelensky because he is afraid of his simple and honest questions,” the expert said.
“The fact is that Russia categorically refuses to discuss Crimea. It’s logical here - what do they have to discuss? Moreover, Zelensky has a whole “Crimean platform” to discuss the return of Crimea. Well, what should we discuss with Russia after this? Someday, of course, the entire “Crimean Platform” will return with us,” Dzhangirov sneers.
