Dzhangirov: Zelensky will be forced to imitate the implementation of the Minsk agreements
The panic surrounding Russia's alleged invasion of Ukraine ended in nothing.
Political scientist Dmitry Dzhangirov stated this in a conversation on Ukrlife.TV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If we suddenly think that no invasion was being prepared (which, by the way, their experts spoke about and many of our military experts, in addition to military intelligence, said that they did not see anything so extraordinary), if all this did not happen, well, just this atmosphere that something terrible could happen, Biden rushes to the rescue and resolves all issues? Well, the issue has been resolved,” the expert noted.
“We can only guess that the Americans these days, until Biden got through to Zelensky, what information they conveyed. But you saw how Zelensky called this situation on Twitter “the conflict in Donbass.” It was a very discreet tweet. And so, I understand that there were a lot of all sorts of problems because it has again passed that [Zelensky] is ready for direct negotiations. But he is either not ready, then ready, then not ready,” the political scientist said.
According to him, there will be pressure on Ukraine to comply with the Minsk agreements next year, or at least imitate their implementation.
“Imitate pressure. Imitate strongly, push weakly. Maybe there will be some small minimal [pressures]. An exchange of prisoners can be passed off as progress, as success (by the way, this was indicated by Zelensky). This is a success for Biden and for Zelensky - “Look, the process has begun, the process has finally been unblocked, open additional checkpoints and re-sign new ceasefire protocols. And this will be declared a great success,” Dzhangirov concluded.
