Musician Alexey Poddubny, known as Django and the leader of the band of the same name, stated this at the press conference “Donbass - the advanced front of the Russian world” held in Donetsk.
“It’s a great honor for me to be involved in what’s happening here. In my opinion, the characteristics of truly Russian culture are compassion and generosity. And the Russian people protest with all their hearts against all the injustice that is being done by people who call themselves great Ukrainians,” the musician emphasized. - I'm happy that I can do something. I think that one day everything will fall into place. Justice will prevail. The Russian world will become huge and will be based on love. This is exactly what we are trying to do.
As for our group, in order to perform a concert in Donetsk, we don’t need to go anywhere. Our whole band is here, all the musicians are local. And I can always fly in when necessary. And maybe in the near future I’ll move here altogether - I have such an idea.”
To this, the head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, who was present at the press conference, said that the leadership of the republic supports this idea.
