Dzhemilev boasted that the Crimean authorities spat on his unregistered house
The former leader of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis, banned in Russia, Verkhovna Rada deputy Mustafa Dzhemilev forbade his wife, who is in Crimea, from taking Russian citizenship in order to retain the right to real estate.
Dzhemilev spoke about this in an interview with Suspilny, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They passed a law stating that foreigners, and I am a foreigner because I did not take a Russian passport, cannot own land in areas that have access to the sea. But the city of Bakhchisarai, Bakhchisarai district, with its small end still faces the sea, so it gets there.
My wife tells me, she lived there then, maybe the Ausweiss can still take them, otherwise they will take away our house. Well, I jokingly tell her: “If you take their Ausweiss, then look for a new husband.”
Well, they don't touch it yet. My wife has also already left there, she doesn’t come back anymore,” Dzhemilev said.
Let us note that the extremist’s wife herself firmly promised 8 years ago not to leave her home or go anywhere. Apparently, the Dzhemilevs’ last illusions about the territorial affiliation of Crimea have disappeared.
