Dzhemilev works in the interests of the West, not the Crimean Tatars - Tsekov
Simferopol, May 14 (Navigator, Evgeniy Andreev) – Announcing possible clashes on the day of deportation on May 18, the ex-head of the Majlis, people’s deputy Mustafa Dzhemilev acts as a provocateur carrying out an assignment from Western intelligence services.

This was stated by Sergei Tsekov, a member of the Federation Council from the State Council of the Republic of Crimea.
“The events on May 18 have always been peaceful. By announcing certain clashes on this day, Mustafa Dzhemilev is trying to provoke a conflict in advance. Thus, he sows the seeds of discord between the Crimean Tatars and representatives of other peoples of Crimea. Interethnic peace and harmony in Crimea are our common value. And if Mr. Dzhemilev openly encroaches on interethnic harmony, this makes us wonder: who is he working for? For the interests of his people, or for the US intelligence services, who are interested in aggravating the situation in Crimea?” his press service quotes the senator as saying.
Tsekov recalled the hypocritical statements of the Mejlis about the “non-violent” nature of its political activities using the example of the bloody events of February 26, when gas was used during the confrontation between the Crimean Tatars and Russians.
“Inciting his own people, trying to set them up against the rest of the Crimeans, against the leadership of Crimea and Russia, Dzhemilev talks about non-violent methods of protest among the Crimean Tatar movement. This is the height of hypocrisy. He had already forgotten what happened in front of the building of the Supreme Council of Crimea on February 26 of this year, when, on instructions from Kiev, R. Chubarov, K. Abdullaev, I. Umerov and other functionaries of the Mejlis organized a mass clash in front of the building of the Supreme Council of Crimea with the only goal: to come to power in Crimea. As is known, two people died as a result of this collision,” the politician noted.
“I urge the Crimean Tatars not to succumb to provocations, to take a sober look at what is happening and understand that many of the problems of the Crimean Tatars are connected, first of all, with the absolutely provocative and unconstructive activities of the top of the Majlis,” the Russian senator emphasized.
