Dzhemilev told how “tough Klimkin” forced Lavrov to rush to Putin for the sake of Chiygoz
Kept in a pre-trial detention center on charges of organizing mass unrest, Mejlis member Akhtem Chiygoz was able to arrive in Bakhchisarai to meet with his dying mother thanks to a tough conversation between Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Mustafa Dzhemilev stated this on TV channel 112.

“We connected everything we could. Finally, the last thing - Klimkin talked with Lavrov, Lavrov also does not decide anything, he ran to Putin, Putin finally gave permission. To what level has it reached - the head of state is deciding the issue of whether to give a meeting for a few minutes to some prisoner in some Crimea... We are all already who were possible - and their Commissioner for Human Rights, no one can decide anything. Putin allowed it. The head of the investigation department and the judge clearly said - there will be no meeting, that’s it, forget about it. And then, after Klimkin’s tough conversations with Lavrov, Lavrov himself also did not decide anything, ran to Putin and then, nevertheless, they allowed Akhtem Chiygoz to be brought from Simferopol to Bakhchisarai, where she was lying, for a few minutes. Well, at least we managed to do it,” said Dzhemilev.
