Dzhemilev will become a movie star

Thus, Ukrainian “Svidomo” activists, some of whom are related to Crimea, are planning to make a documentary about the former leader of the Majlis.
They are collecting money for this purpose: in total they need 300 thousand UAH, and now the film crew has 18 thousand in their pockets. Everyone is asked to chip in to glorify Dzhemilev - from the Crimean Tatars to Ukrainians and even “Svidomo” Russians. For this they promise symbolic prizes, and the most generous person will be given a mug of coffee in the company of Dzhemilev.
“Making a film about such a person is a big responsibility, and on the other hand, it’s very picky about what we do. In June, we discussed the idea of the project with Mustafa Dzhemilev himself - he is very interested in making this film happen. Before this, there was no full-length documentary film about the Crimean Tatar leader - there were only short films and TV series. We will not dwell on purely biographical moments; we want to reveal Dzhemilev’s personality, first of all, as a person, with his weaknesses and exploits,” Tamila Tasheva, coordinator of the film, member of the CrimeaSOS public initiative, told the Den newspaper.
In addition to her, the director and producer of the documentary “Crimea Unveiled” Olga Morkov, sound producer Efim Chupakhin, journalist Vakhtang Kipiani and several Crimean journalists, whose names have not yet been disclosed, will work on the film. Filming will take place in Uzbekistan, Russia, the USA and Crimea, and the premiere screening is planned to be held at the end of next year.
