Dzhemilev reassured Chubarov: It’s only difficult in prison for the first 2-3 years
Kyiv, June 16 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - Crimean Tatar deputy Mustafa Dzhemilev, who has experience of exile and imprisonment for anti-Soviet activities, advised his younger comrade Refat Chubarov about the peculiarities of life in dungeons.
Such a conversation between Dzhemilev and Chubarov took place after the Crimean prosecutor’s office announced the possibility of liquidating the Mejlis if its activities were recognized as extremist.

“When a criminal case was opened against Chubarov, I jokingly told him: “Refat, don’t worry, it’s only hard for the first two or three years, then you’ll get used to it,” Dzhemilev noted in an interview with Focus magazine.
“And what did Chubarov answer?” – the journalist specified.
“I asked how it was in prison with smoking,” Dzhemilev laughed.
