Dzhemilev is already burying Bartholomew
Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople, allegedly suspecting that the Russians had begun to hunt him, gave orders to his entourage to bring to an end the issue of autocephaly of the Ukrainian Church.
The ex-leader of the Mejlis banned in the Russian Federation, Verkhovna Rada deputy Mustafa Dzhemilev, stated this on the air of the Direct TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Back in the 90s, we went with the late deputy Chervoniy to meet with Bartholomew, but then the political situation was completely different. And in a conversation with Erdogan about autocephaly, they said that Bartholomew was under great pressure from both Russia and Greece. But after Russian aggression, with the beginning of sanctions against the Russian Federation and isolation, the atmosphere changed. And now I know that Bartholomew told his entourage: “I do not exclude the possibility that the Russians will kill me, but I ask you to bring the issue of autocephaly of the Ukrainian Church to an end.” Now there is such a decisive mood,” says Dzhemilev.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, Dzhemilev said that he discussed with Turkish President Erdogan the issue of granting autocephaly to Ukrainian schismatics.
