Dzhemilev is working off an American grant in Kyiv and continues to stir up passions about the situation in Crimea
Kyiv, March 10 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – Crimean Tatars did not resist during the events of the “Crimean Spring” because they were afraid of repeated deportation. The ex-chairman of the Mejlis, people's deputy Mustafa Dzhemilev stated this at the Ukrainian Crisis Center.

According to him, about 10 thousand Crimean Tatars left the territory of the peninsula during the year.
“There were worst fears that the Russians would begin deporting the Crimean Tatars. But this did not happen like in 44. People were not put in freight cars, they were not sent to remote parts of Russia, but everything is being done in order to squeeze the Crimean Tatars out of their territory. Crimean Tatars are forced to leave their land themselves. To date, about 10 thousand Crimean Tatars have been forced to leave their homeland. We are afraid that this will turn into a protracted crisis, like Transnistria, Karabakh,” Dzhemilev said.
