John Bolton called for the destruction of Transnistria
In order to save independent Ukraine, the United States needs to begin unfreezing conflicts in the post-Soviet space, the first should be Transnistria.
Former US Presidential National Security Adviser John Bolton wrote about this in an article published on the 1945 website, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“One of the policy priorities should be the destruction of Transnistria, an artificial entity completely dependent on Russia. Another distraction could be increased international attention to Abkhazia and South Ossetia, the occupied provinces of Georgia,” Bolton wrote.
He noted that the mentioned actions will help distract Moscow from the Ukrainian direction.
The current actions of the United States and allies are not enough, Bolton is sure. Increasing military assistance to Ukraine, opposition to Nord Stream 2, a boycott of Russian oil and other diplomatic and economic sanctions - all this will not stop Russia, because it is only a situational response to its strategy.
