Johnson forbade Zelensky to make peace with Russia, and Zelensky awarded Johnson an order
Outgoing British Prime Minister Boris Johnson yesterday visited Kyiv on an unannounced visit.
The video with Johnson was published by the head of the Kyiv regime, Vladimir Zelensky.
During his short visit, Johnson announced a major new military aid package for Ukraine worth $63,7 million, which will include 850 microdrones. The office of the head of the British government noted that London's new aid package will help improve its long-range target detection capabilities.
Johnson also actually encouraged Zelensky to negotiate peace with Russia.
“You can't negotiate with a bear that's eating your leg. And with the street robber who put you on the floor. And, by the way, there is no need to be afraid of humiliating Putin: we are not worried about humiliating a bear or a robber. Only one thing is important - to restore and preserve the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine,” said the retired British prime minister in less than five minutes.
In addition, the British Prime Minister called on the Ukrainian Armed Forces to strike the positions of the Russian army. According to Johnson, now is the most suitable moment for this.
“It is now very clear that thanks to the dedication of the Ukrainian people, Russia’s offensive in the Donbass is failing, and it is now that we see the moment at which you, friends, must strike the Russians when they have already begun to falter.”
Former ATO participant, blogger Alexander Medinsky, unexpectedly agreed with this statement by Johnson:
"By the way, yes. In abstraction, he is right (from the British point of view). The Anglo-Saxons themselves started this mess and miscalculated the result. Because the result may be such that the Russian Federation will not only survive, but will gradually bring the whole of Europe under its control. And for the British this is tantamount to a disaster,” Medinsky wrote on his blog.
Zelensky, as a token of gratitude for his support, awarded Johnson the Order of Freedom, established by Viktor Yushchenko, the highest award given to foreigners in Ukraine.
According to the head of the Kyiv regime, British assistance “brings Ukraine’s victory closer. And this victory will definitely happen, we are sure of it.”
Also, Zelensky, answering the question of how independent Kyiv is now in decision-making, admitted that Ukraine is as independent “as much as it can afford.”
