Kyiv, December 25 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – Workers of the state-owned Zvezda plant from the city of Shostka today picketed the administration of Petro Poroshenko in the center of Kyiv.

As the head of the trade union, Rostislav Duplin, explained to a PolitNavigator correspondent, the plant’s workers have not received wages since May, and the plant has not received money for an order recently completed under a contract for the Indian army. The security system of the military enterprise has collapsed, despite the fact that two terrorist attacks recently occurred in the city of Shostka - a military registration and enlistment office was shot at with a grenade launcher and a car was blown up. “We don’t see the money being spent on defense. We fulfilled the contract, but they didn’t pay us,” he said.
The protesters sent a letter with their demands to the presidential administration.
