Ukrainian economist Vsevolod Stepanyuk drew attention to this aspect of the so-called free trade agreement between the EU and Ukraine.
“When we say that there are some common EU standards, then, excuse me, this is a lie,” the economist emphasized. – For example, in Germany, according to quality certificates, there are products that are certified according to EU standards, and there are products certified according to internal German standards. And Germany has 20 years to switch to European standards. Ukraine, in my opinion, was given five years. That is, rich Germany – 20 years, and poor Ukraine in 5 years must destroy everything so that only what remains meets Euro standards.”
