Kyiv, August 20 (Navigator, Yuriy Kovalchuk) – Refugees from Donbass demonstrate stunning behavior: they use the help of the Ukrainian state, but at the same time continue to curse the army loyal to Kyiv for the bombing of Donetsk and Lugansk.
Valery Kalnysh, former editor-in-chief of the Kommersant-Ukraine newspaper, stated this on Espresso TV.

“I am categorically outraged because people were safe, people were sheltered, and they continue to throw mud in the face of those who provided them with some kind of support. One could attribute this to an information vacuum, as a method of complacency. On the other hand, there are no methods to influence these people other than convincing them that it’s calm here, there’s no shooting, and there are no Bandera supporters.
These people are driven by fear, and we have no others. These are the people we are forced to live with, even if we don't like it. Although it is internally unpleasant for me to be with such people. I can’t understand why these blinders can’t fall off my eyes. Let's put it this way: if you don't like it, go back. They feared for their lives, and when they were safe, they began to think that they could just sit out here. I listen to these people and understand that their level of political culture is low,” says Valery Kalnysh.
The journalist believes that over time, refugees will change their attitude towards Ukraine.
“I am sure that we will be insulted, this “Maidan” will be remembered for years and years, but I am sure that there is no other way than to accept this aggression and not respond to it, so that this aggression goes into emptiness. And when they don’t see opposition, then everything will calm down,” says Kalnysh.
