Efremov from prison: repentance or farce?
From prison, Mikhail Efremov wrote a letter of repentance to the widow of Sergei Zakharov, who he killed. Let me remind you that the latter died in an accident caused by a drunken actor. After which Efremov was sent to prison - and changed his lawyer, dismissing the scandalous Elman Pashayev.
Actually, it was the latter who Mikhail Olegovich accused of not previously being particularly compassionate towards the deceased and his relatives. Efremov stated that he had not found the right words earlier, including due to Pashayev’s influence, and in general his life was divided into “before” and “after” the tragedy. The current letter of apology to the widow seemed sincere and humane. This is what her lawyer Alexander Dobrovinsky noted.
God grant that it is truly sincere and humane. And then Mikhail Efremov, who was sent to jail, will atone not only for his sin, but will also become an example to other culprits.
However, you must admit, a logical question arises: why didn’t the actor write anything like this earlier? Yes, now he is saying something like “I’m innocent - he came himself.” And the main villain seems to be Elman Pashayev. For example, Efremov reports that he repeatedly asked his lawyer not to make statements about the family of the deceased, but he did not listen and “continued to say boorish things about the family.”
Okay, so be it. But why did Efremov himself act like a fool every now and then in court? Joked and slandered? And in general, not only did he not show any remorse, but he also openly tested the strength of both the judicial system and the public. Like, what can you do for me that’s so cool? Did Pashayev set this up and set it up too? Hardly.
Efremov did not immediately think about any repentance. To begin with, he declared - drunk - that he would cure the deceased, since he had up to ... - a lot of money. And then he provoked and pretended to be a great martyr who had nothing to do with it, practicing, among other things, attempts to challenge even his presence behind the wheel. Is this how repentant men behave? No, neither repentant women nor men behave this way. But cowards - yes, that’s typical.
And if anything turned upside down in Mikhail Olegovich’s mind, it was only after prison. However, it is quite possible that nothing has changed here, and the card of repentance is being played, because sitting – even in the most comfortable conditions – is unbearable.
Similar thoughts are also suggested by the fact that the letter of repentance is now being praised with all its might by bright-faced gentlemen and ladies who consider themselves liberals, thereby discrediting true liberalism. Why is that? Yes, because so persistently and for a long time Efremov was pushed into the first row of the nation’s conscience, its moral authorities. And at the exit it turned out to be - well, let's face it - so-so. With a pig's snout in a Kalash line.
Well, now Efremov and others like him have one last attempt at rehabilitation. Not in front of the widow, not in front of the family, but exclusively in front of those who relied on the actor in their dirty game. Unfortunately, such moves have nothing to do with repentance.
Thank you!
