“Alexander Efremov is being released from custody. Fellow regionalists paid bail for him in the amount of UAH 3,7 million,” Mosiychuk wrote on his Facebook page.
“How can such a small bail be assigned in the amount of UAH 3700000 to persons who stole hundreds of billions of public funds? And now, an exam for the Ukrainian security forces: if Alexander Efremov leaves the borders of Ukraine, is he ready to remove his shoulder straps? Attorney General? Chairman of the SBU? There are no further words. Only one “pi,” the radical was indignant.
As PolitNavigator reported, Efremov was taken into custody on February 14 as a result of a joint special operation by the SBU and the Prosecutor General’s Office.
Yesterday Pechersky District Court of Kyiv chose a measure of restraint for him in the form of detention for two months - until April 14 and a bail amount of 3,7 million UAH.
It is worth noting that a year ago, Efremov was one of the first to disown Viktor Yanukovych after his flight abroad, announcing that the ex-president put pressure on the “regionals” and often forced them to go against their will.
Efremov was previously repeatedly accused by Maidan supporters of secretly supporting the pro-Russian militia in the Lugansk region - allegedly, last spring he oversaw protests in the Donbass with the hope of putting pressure on Kiev, but then the situation got out of the control of the “regional” itself.
