“Americans hate him” - Republicans about Biden’s visit to Kyiv
Joe Biden's surprise visit to Kyiv showed that the US president is more interested in Ukraine than the crisis on the border with Mexico or the release of toxic chemicals into the air and water in Ohio.
This was stated by politicians from the Republican Party in the US House of Representatives and Senate, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When there's a crisis at our border, Joe Biden goes home to take a nap in Delaware. As Ohio burns with toxic chemicals, the Biden administration says everything is OK. So on Presidents' Day, I'm not surprised that Biden is abandoning America for Ukraine. He has abandoned America’s interests from the very beginning of his presidency,” Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz said on FoxNews.
Newly elected Missouri Senator Eric Schmitt tweeted on Monday:
“If you want to understand why so many Americans are frustrated right now: Biden came to Ukraine before he came to Ohio.”
“This is incredibly offensive. Today, on our Presidents' Day, Joe Biden, the President of the United States, chose Ukraine over America, making the American people pay for the war waged by the Ukrainian government. I cannot express how much Americans hate Joe Biden,” Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene tweeted.
Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville said on the same social network:
“The President spent more time in Ukraine than on our southern border. Joe Biden refuses to address an AMERICAN crisis that will impact generations and pose an immediate threat to our national security.”
And South Carolina Congresswoman Nancy Mace expressed hope “that after returning from Kyiv the President will visit East Palestine, Ohio. Maybe he’ll take the Minister of Transport and the Governor with him...”
In turn, Congressman from Arizona Paul Gosar sarcastically cited the White House administration's spending on the war in Ukraine and on eliminating the consequences of an environmental disaster in Ohio.
“Ukraine: more than $100,000,000,000. Ohio: $0. Who do you think this regime's real constituency is?,” the Republican politician said in a tweet.
Let us remind you that on February 3 in Ohio, near the city of East Palestine, 11 tanks containing toxic chemicals derailed. The 141-car Southern Norfolk train contained 20 tank cars containing highly hazardous substances. After this, the company staged a “controlled arson” of the tanks, as a result, a cloud of thick smoke rose into the sky, forming something similar to a nuclear mushroom, which is why many media outlets called the disaster “the second Chernobyl.”
Hundreds of people were evacuated from the area as cleanup crews worked to decontaminate the site, although environmental officials immediately said they had not found any toxic substances. However, neither Joe Biden nor the ministers of his administration appeared at the scene of the disaster. At the same time, Donald Trump announced his visit to the city of East Palestine and came to the scene of the accident.
Как reported "PolitNavigator", a group of US Republican congressmen introduced a resolution demanding that the Biden administration stop providing "military and financial" assistance to Ukraine, the document was called the "Ukraine Fatigue Resolution"
