“This is how Trump will merge us too!” – the US attack upset the Ukrainian Maidan protesters
The US missile attack on Syria is reminiscent of an “agreement” with Russia, which is an alarming signal for Ukraine, since the Americans in the future could “leak” the Ukrainian issue in the same way.
Ukrainian political scientist Sergei Datsyuk, who previously actively supported the Maidan, discusses this in his blog.
“This is the pattern of the war. First, Trump promises to punish Assad within 2 days. Then Russia says that we will destroy not only the missiles, but also their launch sources (aircraft and ships).
Then Trump finds himself in a situation of indecision and says - maybe we will attack, maybe not. 2 days pass, but nothing happens. At the same time, the circle of punitive forces is expanding - France and Great Britain are joining the United States (Germany refuses).
Obviously, behind-the-scenes negotiations are beginning with Russia, which is reducing the aggressiveness of the threats (we will react if missiles hit the Russians). Then the US-Russia Agreement occurs - we will launch not very dangerous (high-precision, so as not to hit you) missiles at targets in Syria, the Syrian air defenses will be shot down, no one will lose face.
According to the Agreement, the Performance “missiles and their destruction by Syrian air defense forces” is launched.
This is good for the world as a whole - a nuclear war has not started. But this is bad for Ukraine. If the West is ready to reach an agreement with Russia, then Ukraine will have a very bad time,” Datsyuk laments.
