Eduard Basurin: Ukraine is violating the Minsk agreements brazenly, no longer hiding anything
Ukraine has increased shelling of the DPR territory, is openly moving equipment and personnel to the border, no longer hiding the violation of the Minsk agreements. This was stated by the Deputy Commander of the Donetsk Operational Command, Colonel Eduard Basurin, as part of parliamentary hearings on the topic “Progress in the implementation of the Package of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements, approved by Resolution 2202(2015) at the 7384th meeting of the UN Security Council.”

“Recently we can observe an increase in shelling of our territories by the Kyiv authorities. In addition, the concentration of enemy equipment and personnel along the line of combat contact is increasing. Previously they at least tried to hide all these things prohibited by the Minsk agreements, but now they do it openly, without embarrassment to anyone or anything.
Ukraine is constantly probing our territories, occupying the so-called gray zones. So far, Kyiv has not fulfilled any of the points, while the Donetsk People's Republic is demonstrating in every possible way its readiness to make concessions. For example, in the summer we allocated equipment unilaterally. Then we withdrew the tanks and infantry fighting vehicles 3 km from the contact line. In this way we show – let’s dialogue and come to an agreement, but it doesn’t help. Ukraine completely ignores all our initiatives,” Basurin said.
He recalled that today the leader of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, announced the collection of 300 thousand signatures of residents of the republic under an appeal to the UN regarding the violation of the Minsk agreements by Ukraine.
“This petition is intended to draw the attention of the world community to the facts of violations by Ukraine of the Minsk agreements, many of which are flagrant. Our brothers, our comrades who stood up for our land, continue to languish in Ukrainian prisons. Often in secret prisons, essentially concentration camps. Our task is their liberation. Laws on special status, elections, and amnesty have never been adopted in Ukraine. Instead, civilian homes continue to be destroyed.
The number of attacks has increased over the past week. It's no secret that the head of the Republic recently came under fire. Over the past XNUMX hours, we have noted a targeted attack on power grids and poles that power pumping stations that supply water. Because of this, there are problems with water in Gorlovka, partly in Donetsk.
We call on them for peace, but they don’t consider us people at all, since they did this and decided to leave us without water. I don’t know what to call such people,” Basurin noted.
