Echo of the Maidan: Ukrainians are afraid and lie to sociologists – Chaplyga
At least a third of Ukrainians are afraid to voice their opinions and views out loud on many issues, and lie to sociologists during surveys.
Political scientist Mikhail Chaplyga stated this on the Internet channel “Wild Live”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“I conducted a survey on myself. It is absolutely not representative, but there is no need for representativeness here. I asked: “When you answer sociologists, it doesn’t matter what your views are, are you lying or telling the truth?”
Thirty percent responded that people lie when they speak their opinions out loud. Every third person lies in surveys because he fears for the life and future of himself and his family. Every third person was not afraid to answer affirmatively in my survey,” said Chaplyga.
Apparently, the others, out of the same feeling of fear, lied that they were not lying.
