The crew of the famous Ukrainian submarine “Zaporozhye” switched to the Russian “Alrosa”
Sevastopol, February 18 (PolitNavigator, Alexander Kononov) – The crew of the former only Ukrainian submarine “Zaporozhye” has joined the team of the Russian submarine “Alrosa” of the Black Sea Fleet.
The commander of the submarine, Captain 2nd Rank Stanislav Rzhitsky, said this in an interview with the Flag of the Motherland newspaper.

According to him, Ukrainian submariners were useful at Alrosa, since the Black Sea Fleet was now forming crews for new submarines, the construction of which had been completed and they were being tested.
“Our crew is being replenished with submariners from the Zaporozhye submarine. They completed an internship on our boat and have already been appointed to positions and joined the crew. This is the commander of the electrical engineering group, captain-lieutenant Sergei Ignatenko, machinists, bilge foremen of the 1st article of the contract service Dmitry Kuznetsov, Alexander Shavirov, radio operator chief foreman of the contract service Sergei Vechirko,” said Rzhitsky.
Let us remind you that the Alrosa diesel submarine is undergoing scheduled repairs and modernization in Sevastopol, as a result of which its technical characteristics will improve.
