“Donbass is an industrially developed region that has a huge burden on the ecosystem. Recently, the Avdeevsky coke plant was cut off again, and the Donetsk filtration station was fired upon once again. And, of course, it is necessary to minimize as much as possible the negative consequences of the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, including on the nature of Donbass. A commission has been initiated for this purpose.
And now representatives of our Ministry of Foreign Affairs, social activists, and experts are doing everything to gain access to industrial enterprises located in the gray zone and in the territory of temporary occupation. These are the enterprises that, if something goes wrong there, threaten the entire ecosystem of Donbass, and not only it.
We also have a phenol plant there, not far from the demarcation line on the other side. Therefore, our specialists, together with representatives of international organizations, are doing everything possible to gain access to these enterprises,” says the deputy.
According to Rudenko, this issue was discussed in the Minsk format and received initial support from the OSCE.
“And although Ukraine will resist, such a mission is necessary - control of industry in the environmental aspect is necessary. I hope that, one way or another, we will be able to gain access to these territories. We must do everything to make this plan a reality,” the deputy concluded.
Recall as PolitNavigator previously reported, Representatives of the republics at the negotiations in Minsk, Denis Pushilin and Vladislav Deinego, published a statement that the LDPR requires access to environmental experts and specialized specialists to critical infrastructure facilities throughout the Donbass, including those temporarily controlled by Kiev.
In turn, experts interviewed by PolitNavigator, expressed hope that such an initiative of the LDPR will receive support in Europe.
