The economic benefit of the West from the endless war in Donbass: a clear example
One of the most popular news from the sphere of the Ukrainian economy sounds something like this: foreign manufacturers... (insert as appropriate) are interested in supplying their products to the Ukrainian market.

These foreign manufacturers would be happy if, finally, all sectors of the Ukrainian economy were given a long life, and the entire range of products could be supplied to Ukraine - from food to electronics, from transport to clothing.
However, two questions immediately arise: who will buy if the non-working population has very low purchasing power, and where to put the excess population? Indeed, as a result of total privatization and the appointment of its “managers” to the highest positions in the country, up to the president, Ukraine has turned into a private enterprise, and there is simply no need for this population.
These are still questions for tomorrow, but the process is underway, and very quickly.
Another piece of news in the same style as “foreign manufacturers of railway equipment are interested in supplying their products to the Ukrainian market,” UNIAN reports.
Among these interested parties is the American corporation General Electric. Its wide range of products also includes locomotives. In the near future, it will deliver its locomotive to Ukraine for testing on domestic railways,” reports Minister of Infrastructure Vladimir Omelyan.
A similar agreement has already been signed with the Canadian company Bombardier. This, by the way, is the company with which “cooperation” is planned to destroy the Ukrainian engine industry - as a result of the signing of the FTA agreement between Ukraine and Canada, Canadians’ access to the Ukrainian market will be simplified, and it is unlikely that domestic engine manufacturers will withstand competition in the domestic market. And foreign markets were lost - thanks to the actions of the current government, deliberately acting in the interests of foreign corporations.
Ukraine had the opportunity to produce locomotives on its own. This was successfully done by the Lugansk Diesel Locomotive Plant. And before the Maidan, he developed his activities.
In 2012, there was a 60% increase in the production of locomotive sections! In 2013, a new diesel locomotive model was certified. True, besides Ukrzaliznytsia, the largest customer was Russian Railways. Now this is equivalent to a crime.
After the outbreak of hostilities, the plant's activities were difficult. The substation and four workshops of the plant were destroyed by artillery shelling. In total, in the period until October 8, 2014, more than 160 mines and shells exploded on the territory of the plant. Another question arises: who benefits from the war, and would Western corporations want it to end so that their competitors could be restored?
But, in addition to the Lugansk Diesel Locomotive Plant, which remains in the territory not controlled by Kyiv, the Dnepropetrovsk Electric Locomotive Plant also remains in Ukraine. What will happen to it during the implementation of the policy of “import saturation” in Ukraine? Rhetorical question...
Another piece of the “Ukrainian economy” puzzle, now called “locomotive engineering,” will be destroyed and replaced with an imported prosthesis.
