Trump's economic nationalism will put an end to Ukraine's cooperation with the IMF
For Ukraine, a revision of US policy towards international financial organizations under Donald Trump may be an unpleasant surprise.

This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Kyiv by the former deputy chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine, Alexander Savchenko. According to him, with a 60 percent probability, Ukraine will receive a tranche from the IMF this year, which, however, will be the last.
“Firstly, the new Trump administration will review its policy of relations in the activities of international financial organizations. And there, by the way, there may be revolutionary changes. They will not be directed against Ukraine, but a new philosophy will simply appear in the activities of the fund, which in fact can even support the United States, which also has a large trade deficit. For Trump, economic nationalism comes first, and international trade and globalization are still recognized as a negative factor that has a negative impact on the American economy,” noted the former deputy chairman of the NBU.
“If this concept is not revised, then a new policy of both the World Bank and the IMF will begin to take shape. While this problem is not yet overdue, we will be able to talk about it in about a quarter,” added Savchenko.
