The EU economy faces serious problems
The very low growth of the European economy makes the people of the countries that are members of the EU doubt the feasibility of the existence of this organization.
Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In recent years, the European Union has slowed down economically. For about the seventh year now, the European economy has not been able to exceed even the symbolic two percent. Two percent is not even economic growth, because there is a flow of migrants, the population of the European Union is growing, and this is leveled out,” Kozhara noted.
At the same time, he emphasized that in addition to low growth, the European economy is not the best in the world.
“The European economy, which is less liberal than the American one, which requires consistency between all member countries, is losing out to both the American economy and the economies of the Pacific region. And therefore, the citizens of the European Union themselves become unsure of the correctness of the European project,” summed up the former head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
