“But now, after two years of war, there is a well-functioning system in Russia. Their economy is growing. Some people say it's because of the military aspect.

We were supposed to strangle their economy to death. And their economy is growing and growing. And right now, even from a trading perspective, this is not a negative factor. Even if you remove the military aspect, the civilian potential is growing,” said the American expert.

“The Russian economy is healthy. This is not what we wanted. We wanted the Russian economy to be weak, dependent on the West, so that we could come in and “save the day” like before,” Ritter added.
