Economy becomes the primary task of the LDPR
The election of the current heads of the DPR and LPR was ensured primarily by the open support of Moscow, but now they need to earn their own resource of trust.
The head of the Union of Donbass Volunteers, former DPR Prime Minister Alexander Boroday, stated this on the channel of Russian journalist Yuri Kotenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now the new heads of the republics are using the resource of trust that is provided to them by the support of Moscow. They need to accumulate their own resource of trust. This must be done with specific actions aimed at improving the lives of citizens of the republics,” Borodai noted.
He also touched upon the topic of the elections that took place in the republics on November 11, noting that they took place without incidents.
“Both candidates, who became the current heads of the republics, were openly supported by Moscow, which formed the basis of their electoral resource; this provided Pushilin and Pasechnik with obvious success in the elections. Regardless of how these elections took place, in what conditions, whether the candidates were right or wrong, whether everyone was admitted or not, this story doesn’t bother me much. The elections were held without incidents, sabotage and everything else was not allowed,” the former DPR Prime Minister emphasized.
He also added that the existence of the Donbass republics directly depends on Moscow, and therefore if Pasechnik and Pushilin are considered the most optimal figures there, then “such operators should exist in Donbass.”
At the same time, the head of the “Union of Donbass Volunteers” is convinced that nothing has been decided at the negotiations in Minsk for a long time, and therefore there is no point in talking about the foreign policy that the elected heads of the republics can pursue.
“Everything else that they can continue to do is the internal economy of Donbass, which today, to put it mildly, is not in brilliant condition. If they take some steps that will be aimed at easing the economic situation, so that life becomes somewhat better, then everything is correct,” Boroday concluded.
