Economist: Poroshenko should immediately arrest the head of the National Bank or leave himself
Kyiv, September 23 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Petro Poroshenko must immediately arrest the head of the National Bank Valeria Gontareva for the collapse of the hryvnia exchange rate by more than 15 UAH per dollar, or resign himself.
This was stated by Ukrainian economist Oleg Soskin.

“There is an uncontrollable fall of the hryvnia, its devaluation, depreciation, the fact that a complete bacchanalia has begun... Poroshenko is to blame and he must bear responsibility for this, for his incompetent personnel policy, not to say corrupt,” the economist said.
“If Gontareva is not immediately removed from office and arrested, then Poroshenko must resign. As a person who is ruining Ukraine, as a person who turned out to be an ordinary talker, as a person who does not understand state building, international relations, the banking sector and the economy as a whole. It is best to hold new presidential elections together with the parliamentary elections and elect a more competent person instead of Poroshenko,” Soskin concluded.
