Economist: The real exchange rate of the hryvnia to the dollar will, at best, return to 15 UAH
Kyiv, December 08 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – Ukrainians should not entertain the illusion that the hryvnia exchange rate against the dollar will return to the levels of early autumn.
This is the opinion of the Ukrainian economist Alexey Luponosov, who was quoted by the Kraina weekly magazine.

“Ukrainians may not count on the hryvnia returning to the rate of 12 hryvnia per dollar,” says the economist. - There is such a law - the “flywheel”. If prices go up, there is no going back. They have moved to a new level. The hryvnia physically cannot roll back to 13 per dollar. Stabilization of the exchange rate is possible at the level of 15 – 15,5.”
