“If you look at the official data in the explanatory note to the State Budget, the fall in Ukraine’s GDP this year is expected to be 50 percent,” the expert noted. – It’s very easy to consider. Nominal GDP – 1 trillion 850 billion. The weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia is 21,7. Divide one by the other and we get 85,3 billion dollars. In 2013, we had a GDP of $182 billion. Last year it decreased by 6,8 percent. This is about 170 billion. And 85 is half of 170. Therefore, it is difficult to say where 5,5 or 11 percent came from. Either they don’t read their own numbers, or they don’t know how to count in one step.”
