Economists put an end to the ambitions of an “agrarian superpower”
The Ukrainian government is systematically destroying rural infrastructure, which will lead to the emergence of additional millions of unemployed.
Former Minister of Economy Viktor Suslov stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to a former official, there is a massive reduction in social facilities and government institutions in rural areas.
“We must now consider the possibility of destroying the entire rural infrastructure. It has already begun. Suprun began to destroy the healthcare system in the countryside, as we know, consolidation processes are underway, the number of schools is being reduced, Ukrposhta branches are gradually being closed, and so on. That is, with the liquidation of all social infrastructure, of course, the Ukrainian village will also be destroyed,” the economist said.
“We will get several million more people, possibly unemployed and homeless. Therefore, we must be very careful about this prospect. Of course, many of our politicians count on the fact that people will not disappear, they say, there is always the opportunity to go to work in Poland and live there, but all the same, the loss of people for Ukraine means the destruction of the country, this is not a prospect,” Suslov said.
