The organizer of the picket was the initiative group of capital residents “For a Decent Life.” Some of them were recently Maidan activists, and today they came with a picket near the National Bank, headed by one of the Maidan commandants, Stepan Kubiv. People greeted their former ally with posters with the following content: “I want to work in the National Bank”, “Kubiv, give me your salary” (the head of the NBU is one of the highest paid officials in Ukraine).
At the threshold of the country's main financial institution, picketers laid out essential products, thereby demonstrating their inaccessibility to ordinary citizens. The Cabinet of Ministers, in particular, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, who is also responsible for the increase in utility tariffs, also suffered.
“If the authorities do not listen to our opinion, we will start actions throughout the country,” the picketers promised.
