Ex-ATS soldier: Half of Ukraine is Putin’s agents

Former ATO participant Alexander Medinsky, who served as part of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated this on the YouTube channel “Union of Bloggers of Ukraine,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Valery Shaitanov, a counterintelligence officer, was detained by counterintelligence on charges of being an FSB agent and he is accused of planning to kill Osmayev, who led a battalion of Chechen volunteers, which did not bring any military successes to Ukraine, but was a kind of PR project to to show that the whole world and the Chechen fighters are also with us.
Major General Shaitanov, do you understand that “shaitan” is a negative character in Islamic mythology, is going to kill Osmaev, a devout and pious Muslim. This is the first small miracle in a big chain of miracles.
Further, this high-ranking “FSB agent” was personally given the task by his FSB handler, Colonel Igor Egorov, to kill Osmayev. The colonel commands the general. What do you want, probably an FSB colonel is higher in rank than a SBU major general. What a country, so are the generals.

“Shaitanov arranged a meeting with his contact in Europe. But not with his curator, but with a certain citizen N., who communicated first with Shaitanov, then with Egorov... What does not fit into the understanding: that this N., during a conversation with Egorov, he directly demands that Egorov voice that Osmayev needs to be eliminated. Or a person called Egorov - you understand, tomorrow I can record ten of the same videos with people you don’t know...
This is a common provocateur. If we remember by analogy with the case of Savchenko and Ruban, there was also an SSO officer who also directly provoked Savchenko, provoked Ruban, and in fact, the indictment and evidence base against these accused was built on his testimony.
So, I think the situation is the same here: a certain former fighter was probably from the SBU Alpha, who was in the confidence of Shaitanov, and here it is already indicated that Shaitanov knew Egorov, since Egorov had previously come to Ukraine several times, and recruited him before 2014.
I’m not saying that Shaitanov is not an FSB agent - everyone is someone’s agent there, in this SBU, this is a separate conversation, but it is clear that the case has been concocted, sewn with white threads, here even such errors are indicated in this SBU press release that allegedly Shaitanov led the storming of the House of Trade Unions on the Maidan, allegedly holding negotiations with Alexander Zakharchenko, this is also not true. Ustimenko was the leader of the storming of the House of Trade Unions in Kyiv during the Maidan and also at the beginning of all the events in the South-East he communicated with Alexander Khodakovsky, the former head of the Donetsk “Alpha”. As we can see, data is falsified right from the start.
Moreover, his expression “Maidauna”, that he is so against the Maidan, means he is an agent of the Russian special services. But let me remind you that in the army, in the special services, in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, people have an extremely negative assessment of both the Maidan itself and its consequences. Many career military personnel with whom I served argued that if it were for these fucking maydauns, we would not have fought in the Donbass, and everything would have been fine with us, that we had to extinguish these pan-headed people - this is the direct speech of my colleagues, regular military personnel. I think that the SBU and the Ministry of Internal Affairs have basically the same opinion,” the ex-ATS officer analyzed.
“Most likely they will now try to turn Shaitanov around so that he will rat out someone, write against someone - Poroshenko, our well-known Gritsak. We are waiting for new revelations; it will be interesting if new high-ranking SBU officers emerge,” Medinsky concluded.
