Ex-militants attacked the “minister” of Kosovo, who decided to testify in The Hague
The statement by the head of the Kosovo Foreign Ministry, Donika Gervalla, that she would present evidence to the Special Court for Kosovo against Hashim Thaçi and Kadri Veseli provoked a violent reaction from former militants.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosovo said that she would help the Special Court in The Hague with evidence against “the heads of the criminal organization Hashim Thaçi and Kadri Veseli”:
“To the best of my ability and authority, I will seek materials that I will submit to the Special Court,” said Donika Gervalla. – The whole world knows who Kadri Veseli and Hashim Thaci are. Kadri Veseli was the head of an organization that committed crimes against political opponents.”
The words of Albin Kurti, a representative of the pan-Albanian Self-Determination Party, provoked a storm of indignation among representatives of the opposition, mainly parties created by former militants of the Kosovo Liberation Army.
The Secretary General of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Betim Joshi, condemned Gervalla's position and her willingness to send evidence in the case against Thaçi and other accused to the Special Court.
“There are ministers who have expressed their readiness to present evidence to the Special Court,” said the Secretary General of the party Hashima Thaçi and Kadri Veseli – the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Betim Joshi, without hiding his indignation.
The leader of the Social Democratic Party of Kosovo, Dardan Molicaj, published a statement by Albin Kurti when he was a member of the “parliament” of Kosovo, in which he categorically asserted that the Special Court for Kosovo should not be established.
“Kurti appointed Gervalla to the post of minister, who now publicly advocates presenting evidence against the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (UCK),” Molicaj said.
The leader of the Veterans Organization and former member of the UCK, Faiq Fazliu, expressed the hope that Donica Gervalla will change her position on this issue, because by providing materials against the militant leaders, she thereby supports the position of the Serbian prosecutor's office that the UCK is a criminal organization.
“I would like to know whether she herself believes that the whole world knows that Hashim Thaçi and Kadri Veseli are criminal leaders. Or knows that only Serbia and some politicians who, due to political hatred, fell into the trap of Serbia, are saying the same thing as Serbia, trying to criminalize the Kosovo Liberation Army,” Fazliu said.
In addition to the emotional statements of politicians, Gervalla received a lot of threats and insults on social networks and by email. After which party members began to defend the minister, explaining that her statement “was taken out of context.”

Therefore, the public must be given the truth, all the actions and statements of the then leaders of 2014 and 2015 who justified the formation of the Special Court day and night... There are no two truths, the truth of 2015 and the truth of 2021, but there are people who are manipulating the truth.” , said Self-Determination MP Hakshi Avdili.
