About it ex-Yanukovich official Andrei Portnov, informed in the affairs of the Ukrainian judicial system, reported on his social network page.

According to Portnov, in this way the Ukrainian authorities are going to “get even” with the Landiks for the fact that it is on the basis of the denunciation of Landik Sr. that the entire charge in the high-profile case of Alexander Efremov, the ex-leader of the regionals, whom the GPU accuses of “financing the LPR” and “conspiracy” is based on with Putin."

“Tomorrow, in the Svatovsky District Court of the Luhansk Region, the Ukrainian authorities plan to settle accounts with the informer in the case of the arrested Alexander Efremov by acquitting his son, a major, who was previously convicted of an intentional serious crime,” writes Portnov.

Let us remind you that major Roman Landik, who was repeatedly diagnosed with alcoholism and drug addiction, was sent to prison during the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych and convicted of beating model Maria Korshunova in the Lugansk nightclub “Baccarat”. Since then, the Landik family has been unsuccessfully trying to overturn this verdict.

Andrei Portnov reports that the criminal case against Landik will be considered based on newly discovered circumstances. Typically, such circumstances arise in judicial practice when it is necessary to rewrite a sentence that has already entered into force.

“The overt rush of the authorities to pay the person involved for his testimony is also connected with the lack of any other evidence in the investigation of the arrested opposition politician, except for a denunciation containing assumptions, conspiracy theories and speculation,” writes an ex-Yanukovych official who oversaw the judicial proceedings in the ex-president’s administration system of the country.

Portnov also notes that the perjury of Vladimir Landik, the author of the denunciation of Alexander Efremov, was never confirmed by evidence and was not demonstrated to the public, investigative actions are no longer being carried out, and the arrest of the politician was carried out as a result of physical threats to judges, blocking of the courthouse and distribution by GPU officers of falsified video materials about his activities.
