“I am proud of Konstantin Kartoshkin, he is a man of my team,” Portnov quotes statement by Petro Poroshenko about the head of the largest military-industrial enterprise Zarya-Mashproekt.
“Without a doubt, Petro Poroshenko can be proud of the director of the state company, whom he himself transferred there in 2014 from the position of manager of the Sevastopol Marine Plant, which he owned.
But there is one thing. This is the leader who was one of the first to recognize Sevastopol as a Russian city of federal significance, prudently entering into correspondence with the Ministry of Industry of the Russian Federation,” writes Andrey Portnov on his Facebook.
In this correspondence Petro Poroshenko’s subordinate directly reported to the new Russian authorities about the financial and economic indicators of the enterprise.
“Petro Poroshenko’s plant manager began to submit to the Russian authorities in April 2014, immediately a month after Ukraine lost Crimea.
Then he did not know that in another month, the main shareholder of his plant would become the new president of Ukraine, and he himself would be able to manage much larger state assets and money,” says the ex-Yanukovych official.
“By publicly declaring that he is proud of a member of his team who managed to get caught in economic separatism, Poroshenko once again demonstrated that he is president only for his business holding,” Portnov sums up.
