“Based on the results of the preparatory meeting, the indictment was returned to the prosecutor and the choice of a preventive measure was refused,” said Dmitry Tikhonenkov, Lesik’s lawyer.
Previously, the SBU succeeded in initiating a criminal case against Lesik (on the left in the photo) under Art. 110 of the Criminal Code (violation of territorial integrity) for a post on a social network that he allegedly posted in 2014. On December 15, his place was searched, and the ex-deputy was taken into custody.
“Odessa residents and residents of the region need Porto Franco, strong friends and strong borders... We need to stand up ourselves and become the south... Starting tomorrow, the Odessa region is declared the Odessa People's Republic, where all power belongs only to the people living on its territory,” the post says , for which a criminal case has been initiated.
At the same time, Lesik, who was a representative in the region of the Ukrainian Choice movement led by Viktor Medvedchuk, claims that he did not write such a thing.
