The ex-general of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine named the real reason for the coup d'etat
During the Maidan, the opposition did not fulfill a single provision of the conflict resolution agreement, and the guarantor countries reneged on their words.
This was stated by the former commander of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Stanislav Shulyak during the court hearing in the case of treason against Viktor Yanukovych, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Not a single provision of the agreement was implemented by the opposition. Including the issue of disarmament of illegal armed groups. I know that the opposition did not fulfill the agreement on its part, and the guarantor countries reneged on their words. The EU countries and the USA supported the creation of a new illegal government, supported the illegal removal of the president from power, turned a blind eye to the facts of the threat to his life and the lives of his family, as a result of which a coup occurred, because the president was deprived of the opportunity to govern the country. The president was ready to fulfill the first point within 48 hours, but they didn’t let him do it, they didn’t find him for those 48 hours,” Shulyak said.
