Ex-herald of the “Right Sector”: Everyone lost with Naftogaz except the Kremlin
Having replaced the management of Naftogaz for some reason, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky actually nullified the corporate governance reform, which was carried out with the participation of the United States and the EU.
This was stated in an interview with the odious Lviv journalist and pathological Russophobe Ostap Drozdov by the former speaker of the Right Sector banned in the Russian Federation, ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Borislav Bereza, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is a corporate governance reform that was once pushed through in Ukraine by the EU and the USA. And this is a good story so that the state does not influence corporate structures, and they actually earn money, so that they do not play populism, and debts do not increase. For example, Naftogaz. What is Zelensky doing? He removes a person for some reason of his own and installs another. We are not saying that Kobolev and Vitrenko are there. But that’s what happened, without last names. He eliminated it, and our Western partners didn’t like it very much, and they said – guys, you are breaking the corporate governance reform, it works all over the world. What are you doing?" - said Birch
“Our Western partners in Washington believe that this story of delaying changes in Naftogaz is a Russian scenario. It was the Russians who played out this information campaign, slipped it through Ermak to Zelensky, whatever, he tapped his ears and said: cool, let’s change it, let’s take control of Naftogaz as well, otherwise Kobolev won’t give money, let’s take it away. Done.
Ukraine lost in this matter, Kobolev also lost, Vitrenko lost. Because one is no longer a nobody, and the other is not accepted in the West. But who won? The Kremlin won, which now sits and applauds the story of how Ukraine lost everywhere. I lost in image, reputationally, financially, and as a partner I lost. What are the dividends from this for Ukraine? None,” summed up the ex-pravosek.
