Former head of the defense committee: Now everything depends on France and Germany, Moscow will not attack
The continuation of the scandal with the attempted breakthrough of Ukrainian saboteurs into Crimea now depends on what position France and Germany take, the former head of the Verkhovna Rada Defense Committee, communist Georgy Kryuchkov, told PolitNavigator.

“The development of events itself is very dangerous. The Minsk process is stalled, there are no practical results. It is important how Europe behaves. If Germany and France continue to put pressure on Ukraine, then the current tension will be overcome and there will be no bloody events. And if they change their position, it could be bad.
I don’t think that the Russian side will lead everything to give a reason for starting a war. The Ukrainian side is more involved in aggression. We also see that Ukraine has not given its consent for the new Russian ambassador to take up his duties. We will soon find out what Russia will do next. There may be other statements. They will not take any retaliatory actions,” says Kryuchkov.
