The situation with Yevgeny Prigozhin’s rebellion can still be resolved peacefully, but for this it is necessary to create a commission that would essentially deal with the claims voiced by the head of the PMC.

The former head of the DPR Ministry of State Security, one of the leaders of the Union of Donbass Volunteers, Andrei Pinchuk, stated this in a conversation with PolitNavigator.

The situation with the rebellion of Yevgeny Prigozhin can still be resolved peacefully, but for this it is necessary...

In his opinion, if you crush Wagner by force now, then the questions and complaints will not go away and will persist in the future:

“A criminal case has been opened against Prigozhin under Article 279 “Rebellion.” If you look at the Criminal Code, you will see that rebellion constitutes a crime when it is accompanied by political demands related to a change of power.

I have not heard any political demands from Prigozhin, so I believe that since both sides have their own power component, they should listen to the voice of reason.

On the one hand, during a period of war, internal squabbles are counterproductive. As you know, the doors of the fortress open from the inside. On the other hand, I believe that it is enough to form and announce a state investigation commission, which would include various representatives, including civil society, to investigate the facts that caused tension.

Prigozhin’s statements are related to the fact that, in his opinion, there were some elements of betrayal on the part of the military leadership, incompetence, which entailed very serious consequences.

But you can’t ignore such words either - just destroy “Wagner” and Prigozhin, then these words will still hang in the air, and sooner or later someone will remember these words again.

Therefore, the most rational way in this situation is the formation of some kind of full-fledged body that would bring clarity to these proceedings. I think that for a significant part of the Wagner fighters this will also become a sobering factor when it turns out that their aspirations and problems, which they addressed like this, without finding another way, were addressed to society, the state, and the people. If they are not justified, then there will be a conclusion on this topic that they are not justified, people were mistaken.

If they are justified, I think Prigozhin is ready to go to prison with Shoigu and Gerasimov, either himself, or they without him - it depends on the facts, not on emotions.

In addition to shaking weapons on both sides, you need to understand the essence of the problem. And I am sure that no Wagner tanks will go anywhere after this if it is said: “Guys, let’s come to our senses and look into your accusations based on the facts”... And to directly escalate the situation on both sides will end in bloodshed, which no one needs."

At the same time, Pinchuk notes that the situation will one way or another be resolved in favor of the state:

“The situation will be resolved or not resolved depending on the decisions made. If decisions are connected only with mutual reproaches and mutual demonstrations of force, then, of course, it will be resolved in a certain way. In the end, of course, the state will win, but for some reason, blood will have to be shed. I believe this should be avoided while the opportunity exists.”

At the same time, Pinchuk notes that the front in the Northern Military District zone is unlikely to crumble, and the Russian military will continue to carry out tasks:

“What could Ukraine use for this? The troops remain on the line of combat contact and, as far as I know, there is no significant destabilization of combat work. What to use if troops, forces and means remain in place? There are no significant prerequisites for this yet. If suddenly, from my point of view, erroneous decisions are made to tighten forces, to further military escalation, then, of course. But I think these decisions would be a mistake - now we need to relieve the tension, there are opportunities for this.”
