The former head of the DPR MGB warned of a “severe escalation” at the front
In the next couple of days, Ukraine may try to seriously aggravate the situation on the front line.
One of the leaders of the Union of Donbass Volunteers, a member of the Northern Military District and former Minister of the Ministry of State Security of the DPR, Andrei Pinchuk, stated this on the ForPost Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now the stage has come, and it cannot be fast, when they are trying to achieve isolation of the theater of military operations and bleeding of resources and after that ensure breakthroughs in breaking through the defense line.
Here the townsfolk make a lot of jokes and talk about the fact that it’s all over. It’s not over, because the enemy still has enough resources prepared for this tactic. The duration of this process has also not yet been completed,” said the former head of the DPR Ministry of State Security.
According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have several milestones that they are focusing on.
“The first backup point is that they have massive electronic warfare and reconnaissance assistance, which is provided to them by NATO aviation due to the lack of their own full-fledged aviation during the exercises that have been conducted by NATO in Europe under German leadership since the 12th. This is the largest air exercise in general for the entire existence of NATO.
Part of their resources provides support for the maneuverability of Ukrainian troops. They [the exercises] end on the 23rd, before that time they need to try to make one more breakthrough.
And the second point is the natural conditions, because on the same Vremevsky ledge in the Zaporozhye direction in recent days it has been raining and the movement of armored vehicles has been difficult. And now the rains have stopped, so in the coming days until the 23rd – 24th we will see a very severe escalation,” Pinchuk said.
