According to the diplomat, Belarus has become “an instrument of threat.”

“But we assess not the threat from Lukashenko, but the Russian threat through Belarus. We know that under the guise of training bases, Russian Su-30 aircraft appear there, special forces appear, air defense systems appear, and many other absolutely new things,” the ex-minister said.

“They are intensifying, very gradually intensifying. This means that at the right moment they will simply go forward or pull units across the Belarusian border. Belarus is now a potential source of Russian danger for Ukraine. That’s it,” Klimkin summed up.
