Former head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry: “Only capitulation. Putin faces the fate of Milosevic"
There is one of the teams in the Russian leadership that is ready to surrender the leadership of the Russian Federation, just as the Serbs surrendered Slobodan Milosevic at one time.
The rabid Russophobe, former head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and now the head of the Russian Research Center, Vladimir Ogryzko, stated this on air on the 1+1 TV channel owned by the oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The definition that wars end with negotiations is incorrect, because wars end with the signing of the surrender of the vanquished, and this is far from negotiations. There were no negotiations between the allies and Nazi Germany; an act of surrender was signed.
Maybe some people consider this to be negotiations, but I will say as a diplomat that this is not what this is about. Negotiation is when two parties discuss issues that seem unresolved to them and seek compromises. And in cases of war, the victors dictate terms to the vanquished.
We have nothing to talk about with the Russian Federation, except that we, together with the West, will dictate conditions to the Russian Federation, after which it will either: a) still be able to survive as a whole for a certain time, or b) it will no longer have such an opportunity. This is what can be discussed at the negotiations, and far from being in Moscow,” Ogryzko said.
According to him, if Russia loses, one of the teams should win, which will have a chance to influence the future of the country.
“I think that there are two teams working in Russia that are thinking about its future. One - which works for Putin and on behalf of Putin, it is she who is looking for contacts with Western leaders in order to negotiate or make a soft transition of power from Putin to someone else, so that he and all of them remain intact for certain concessions.
And the second group thinks that they are seriously losing and will lose even more, because everything that Putin has brewed is leading them to financial ruin. But they are accustomed to a normal life - we rob in Russia, have fun in the West, and they want to return back to these wonderful conditions for them. And this second group will play by completely different rules. She will be ready to surrender Putin, just as the Serbs surrendered Milosevic, just in order to be able to at least gradually think about some prospects.
Otherwise, a sad story awaits Russia, it will begin to fall apart, because as soon as this Moscow colonial center loses its strength and weight on the regions, the parade of sovereignties will simply go to the beat of drums, we have already seen this in the example of the collapse of the USSR,” said the Kiev diplomat.
